field tripThe seeds of our company were sown 12 years ago when an innovative science teacher first thought of how he could make his lessons come alive for his students. Focusing on giving the students the power to make their own observations and collect their own data in the great natural classroom, he immediately saw a difference in what his students retained and a great rise in their enthusiasm for learning. Build-A-Field Trip was born.

Although much has changed over the years- we now travel only by approved motor coach and all of our programs conform to specific educational standards- our philosophy is still the same. If students are able to discover for themselves, to see and feel and hear what is around them, they will remember and learn. We work with teachers toward a common goal- better educating our children.

Our Field Trip Classes are Taught by Experts

  • Build-A-Field Trip's staff is comprised of experienced and professional educators.
  • All of our instructors are required to complete an intensive on-site training program.
  • As part of this training, they are taught to present the program material in a way that makes it come to life!

All staff are Lifeguard, First Aid and CPR certified.

  

Travel and Lodging

  • All travel is by safe, comfortable and reliable School Board approved air conditioned motor coaches.
  • All motor coaches are equipped with custom designed lap-boxes that serve as individual desks for students.
  • Students enjoy healthy and delicious meals.
  • Each overnight site is equipped with showers and rest rooms and is properly maintained.
  • Students learn safe and proper camping techniques.

  • Each trip is carefully planned to provide a "real Florida" experience.
  • All programs can be custom tailored to meet your school's individual needs.
  • Level of instruction varies based on grade level.
  • All programs are taught using a fun, interdisciplinary and hands-on approach.
  • Local history is incorporated into the learning experience.
  • During overnight trips, most activities take place at or near the camping facility.
  • Students on overnights enjoy an exciting campfire that has become part of our tradition.
