The seeds of our company were sown 19 years ago when an innovative science teacher first thought of how he could make his lessons come alive for his students. Focusing on giving the students the power to make their own observations and collect their own data in the great natural classroom, he immediately saw a difference in what his students retained and a great rise in their enthusiasm for learning. Build-A-Field Trip was born.
Although much has changed over the years, we now travel only by approved motor coach and all of our programs conform to specific educational standards, our philosophy is still the same. If students are able to discover for themselves, to see and feel and hear what is around them, they will remember and learn. We work with teachers toward a common goal that is to better educate our student children.
OUR FIELD TRIP CLASSES ARE TAUGHT BY EXPERTS
- Build-A-Field Trip's instructors are comprised of
experienced and professional educators. - All of our instructors are required to complete
an intensive on-site training program. - As part of this training, they are taught to
present the program material in a way that
makes it come to life! - All staff are Lifeguard, First Aid and CPR certified.
